Use your phone as a Wi-Fi TV remote
If your TV supports compatible local-network controls, SonLink can discover it and provide everyday remote functions from your iPhone or Android phone.
Before you start: connect the phone and TV to the same private Wi-Fi network. Guest networks often prevent devices from seeing one another.
Pair in three steps
1. Check the TV settings
Turn on network or remote control in your TV settings if the model provides that option.
2. Discover the TV
Open SonLink, allow Local Network access when iOS asks, then choose your TV from the discovered list.
3. Confirm pairing
Follow the instructions shown by the TV. Some models ask for a code or an on-screen confirmation.
If the TV does not appear
- Confirm both devices use the same Wi-Fi and are not isolated on a guest network.
- Wake the TV fully and check that network remote control is enabled.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → SonLink and confirm Local Network access is on.
- Compatibility varies by TV model and software. Not every television exposes supported controls.
Privacy and advertising
Remote commands are sent to the paired TV over your local network. SonLink also uses analytics, crash reporting and advertising services. Advertising partners may process device and usage data according to your consent choices and platform settings. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
