Hong Kong Weather is a browser extension developed by Fireshark HK.
This extension does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal user data to Fireshark HK or any third party.
Information Stored Locally
Hong Kong Weather may store user preferences and cached weather data in the browser’s local or sync storage. This may include language preference, badge display mode, notification preference, and recently fetched public weather data.
This information is used only to provide the extension’s weather display and alert features.
Weather Data Sources
Hong Kong Weather connects to public Hong Kong Observatory weather data sources, including data.weather.gov.hk and hko.gov.hk, to display current weather, weather warnings, special weather tips, radar images, lightning location, and weather forecasts.
No Personal Data Collection
Hong Kong Weather does not collect personal identity information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location data, browsing history, user activity data, or website content.
Notifications
If the user enables notifications, Hong Kong Weather may show browser notifications for weather warning updates. Notifications are generated locally by the extension based on public weather warning data.
Third Parties
Hong Kong Weather does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, subscription services, or payment processors inside the extension.
Browser extension stores, such as the Chrome Web Store, may provide aggregated listing metrics such as store page views or install events through their own developer tools. These metrics are provided by the store platform and are not collected by the extension itself.
Hong Kong Weather does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
